Joshua William Chavez

Joshua William Chavez, age 7, the oldest son of Joshua and Janelle Chavez, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. He graduated kindergarten in 2018 from the NMSBVI preschool and has been homeschooled since. He was a wonderful little boy who put a smile on the faces of everyone around him. His favorite song was baby shark and music was the only thing that could comfort him when he was upset or sick.

He is survived by his mother and father; five younger siblings, Sophia Luz Chavez, Rocky Elliott Chavez, Bruno, Nicholas Chavez, Hazel Fatima Chavez and Aaira Natalia Johnson; grandparents, Orlando Alberto Gutierrez, Carol Annette Elliott, Joe Vivian Chavez, Ginger B Chavez; aunts, Julie Annette Gutierrez, Trisha Marie Gutierrez, Jennifer Gutierrez, and Kassondra Sierra; uncle, Joseph Sierra; cousins, Addie Marie Sierra and Veva Alyssa Sierra.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, 5:30 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Mass will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020, 10:00 a.m., at San Felipe de Neri parish at 2005 N. Plaza St. NW followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
