John Henry Farmer

John Henry Farmer was born February 18, 1936, in South Boston, VA to the late Edward Lawson Sr. & Alma Chappell Farmer. Youngest of 6 children. Proudly served his country for 21 years and 6 months as a member of the US Army. In 1965 he married Betty Richardson. From their union had one son John Jon Farmer. John was a Civilian Federal employee for over 20 years, owned a Food Truck, and was a Flea Market entrepreneur. In addition a coin collector and metal detector hunter. A free time student of the guitar. Enjoyed games on the computer and blues music. John passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister Kay Frances Farmer Coates from Newport News, VA, and Betty Farmer from Dinwiddle, VA. A niece Sharon Herring of Fayetteville, NC, nephew Eric W. Gibson, Jacqueline Gibson his wife and nephew Gregory Rudolph Gibson of CA, and a host of nieces and nephews from NY thru NC, GA to FL. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, John J. Farmer; brothers, Edward Lawson Farmer Jr. and Rudolph Herman Farmer and sisters, Helen Wimbush and Pauline Farmer. He will also be remembered by a host of Friends and Family.
