John A. DeLong

John A. DeLong, 76, beloved father, was called to his eternal resting place on January 27, 2017. He was a resident of Datil, NM. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Lindsey and husband, Bruce of Albuquerque, Katherine DeLong, husband, John and children, Genevieve and Georges of Canada; his son, John M. DeLong and wife, Amy of Edgewood; and many other family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Roma DeLong; and his sister, Sue Brown. John devoted his life to public service, in the US Army, as a New Mexico State Trooper, and as an English teacher in Albuquerque Public Schools. He was a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion, Post 49, 11005 Central Ave NE in Albuquerque. All are welcome.
