Joanne Catherine Buehler

Joanne Catherine Buehler, age 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was called to her eternal resting place on Monday, August 27, 2018 with family by her side. She entered this world on December 23, 1935 in Roswell, NM, born to Harry and Marie Coyne as one of five siblings.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Buehler, to whom she was happily married for 62 wonderful years. Together they had seven children; Diane and spouse, Don Bachicha, Tom and spouse, Joann Buehler, Mary and spouse, Dan Robertson, Dan Buehler, Joe and spouse, Kerry Buehler, Helen Henthorn, and Mike and spouse, Shelly Buehler. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elsie Hendricks, and daughter-in-law, Karenann Buehler. She had 16 beautiful grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Prior to her marriage in 1956, she graduated from Roswell High School and worked in the office of a local oil and gas company. Joanne then worked side-by-side with her husband to build a successful mortgage banking company, all while raising seven children. She was quick to see the humor in human affairs and enjoyed having a happy-hour with her husband and her two “pups” Joey and Jaxx, while watching professional soccer, especially Manchester United. She was sharp and intelligent, an avid reader, and an excellent cook. She always opened her home for family celebrations and good conversations. She especially loved Christmas and our annual family “Christmas Tree Hunting” expeditions. Always a creative person, later in life she discovered a love of coloring and left her family with beautiful artwork to remember her by. A long-time member of Risen Savior, she had many close relationships with her fellow parishioners at the 4 p.m. Mass. She was dedicated to her family and loved beyond measure her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and church community. Her family and friends adored her, and she will be missed dearly.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Vincent de Paul.
