Janis Alene (Oldham) Atkinson

Janis Alene (Oldham) Atkinson, 66, passed away August 21, 2016 in Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. Long-time resident of Sterling, Colorado she'd been under the care of Centennial Mental Center (CMHC) for many years until recent years when she resided in Sterling Living Center. She is survived by her son; Wesley; and son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Ashley and their sons, Maxwell and Miles; their father, Richard Atkinson and daughter-in-law, Rachelle Atkinson; father, Aubrey Oldham of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Dale Oldham of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and sister, Jody Nelson and husband, Arlo of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death in August 2015 by her mother, Dollie Jo Oldham. A Service for family and friends was held at the home of Gary and Connie Nelson in Sterling. The family is grateful for the support of the Sterling Community. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to Sterling Living Center or Centennial Mental Health Center. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. lnterment of cremains to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
