James Joseph Velasquez, Jr., longtime resident of Albuquerque, entered into heaven on November 26, 2016. He is survived by his parents, James Joseph Velasquez, Sr. and Genivive Velasquez; son, James Joseph Velasquez III; brother, Christopher Velasquez; grandpa, Chris Ortega; godparents, Norman and Irene Patterson; one uncle; three aunts and numerous extended family members. James was preceded in death by his grandma, Julia Ortega; and cousin, Hunter Patterson.
A Rosary will be recite on Friday, December 16, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW. James will be laid to rest with his grandma Ortega in Portales, NM.
