J.C. Hicks

J.C. Hicks, age 92, a longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 14, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Mildred L. "Mylli" Hicks Zdunek and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Estell L. Gilbert and husband, Andy, J Stephen Zdunek and wife, Andrea, and Molly Lindley and husband, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Alyse Zdunek, Jensen Gilbert, Nora Zdunek, Lily Lindley, and Christopher Lindley; and sisters, Clara Jean Mouradian and Ola Stoner. He is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Alice L. Elrod Hicks; parents, Dan and Margaret Fidella Hicks; and seven brothers and sisters.
Among his many accomplishments J.C. was a business owner, inventor, and loved to tinker around in his shop. He proudly served in the European Theater with the US Army during WWII. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Visitation will held on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University, with a reception to follow. Interment of J.C. and Alice will be on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 12:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
