Gary J. Scrivner

Gary Scrivner, 77, passed away Sunday, March 31st, 2019. He is survived by Mary Jo Scrivner, his wife of 52 years; his son Garth and his wife Jennifer; his daughter Tiffany; his granddaughter Addison; his brother Larry; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Heit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and Elbert Scrivner.

Gary and Mary Jo met in 6th grade, and their first date was the senior prom. They married in 1966.

Gary graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1964 and then obtained his Masters and PhD from the University of New Mexico. He worked at Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1964 until 2005 when he retired after 41 years of distinguished service.

Gary’s favorite things to do were spending time with his family, walking on the beach, playing bridge, and a great steak dinner.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming.

Gary will be cremated and his cremated remains will be scattered at Sunset Memorial Park.
