Eunice McKinney Miller

d. September 1, 2016

Eunice McKinney Miller, passed peacefully surrounded by family in her home in Albuquerque on September 1, 2016. She was born August 13, 1919 in Gibson, NM and spent her childhood years in Corrales.
Eunice was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill McKinney; second husband, Roy Miller; son-in-law, Gene McCullough; parents, Hugh and Josephine Whiteman; brothers, Garret, Raymond, Rufus, Douglas; and sisters, Lucille and Marie. She is survived by daughters, Billie Jo Hines and husband, Lonnie of Texas, and Sharon McCullough of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kathy Timberlake of Albuquerque, Traci Dorman and husband, Larry, of Texas, Shelley Kearns Harper and husband, Joe, of Albuquerque; brother, John Whiteman and wife, Sybil, of Scottsdale; sister, Ellen "Pudgie" Fowler of California; and many nieces and nephews.
Eunice and Bill started their business, McKinney Motor Co., which she owned and operated for many years with help from Gene McCullough after Bill's early death. It was her life and her legacy. When Roy came into her life she learned the joys of fishing (but was never able to touch a worm) and had wonderful times at Ute Lake. All of her family shared many happy times fishing and boating there. The most special time of the year for her was Chile Harvest. Family came from all over to peel it, pack it, and enjoy a big pot of her green chile. She loved having her sister, Pudgie, come from California. Pudgie always left with a suitcase packed so full of chile she could not lift it. Her red chile enchiladas were her signature dinner. Eunice loved Mariachi music, listening to Johnny Cash, and dancing. She also loved her Pug dogs, Royena, Moya, Cleo, and Sadie.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Eunice's name to Animal Humane Society, www.greatergood.org. Many thanks to her nephew, David, family friend, Christine, and Legacy Hospice Home Healthcare for their support and care. Please visit our online guestbook for Eunice at www.FrenchFunerals.com
