Elizabeth "Jinx" Yost

Jinx Yost, age 71, passed away August 18, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. She was at home with family by her side. She was born in Denver, CO; obtained a Bachelor's degree in business from CSU and was a stewardess for United Airlines in San Francisco, CA. It was there, her life changed at the flip of a coin, when she met her husband, John. They were married in Denver in 1969 and then moved to Albuquerque, NM. She enjoyed a fulfilling career in banking and construction credit management, where she always championed the underdog and the hard-working. She loved her home, time in her garden, being the best "Gammer" to her grandkids, going to coffee, hosting family dinners, getting everyone on wheels, and watching the Broncos.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John M. Yost; sister, Gail Douglas of Denver; daughter, Jaymie Duneman (Chris); sons, John C. Yost (Katie) of Chandler, AZ, and Mike Yost (Jessica Robles); and grandchildren, Samantha, Sydnie, Orin, and Sarah Duneman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orin and Mary Solem of Denver. A Service will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
