Elizabeth (Betty) Mae Moorhead, age 73, a native of Albuquerque, NM, died at home on September 11, 2016.
Elizabeth was a devoted friend to Basset Hounds. She founded the NMBHR. She retired from the USDA Veterinary Service after 30 years of service in 1990. She was an active member of NARFE and the New Mexico Carriage Association holding offices in both clubs.
Elizabeth will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her friends and her cousin, Sue Carney of Pittsburg, PA, invite you to celebrate her life on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rosary to follow. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Edith NE.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Animal Humane Society, 615 Virginia Street SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
