Dorothy K. Hinson, age 94, beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Hinson, Jr. Dorothy was a master cook of wonderful dishes and desserts. She was considered the Bingo Queen of Bernalillo County - she loved to Bingo. Dorothy was a dedicated gardener with beautiful roses and iris plants throughout her yard, and ripe and juicy tomatoes raised with care and love. Dorothy collected Hummel figurines which were displayed throughout her home.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carmen; son, John III; daughter-in-law, Cindy; and loving grandchildren, Rick, Ted, Sadira, John IV, Becky and husband, Tad, and David and wife, Stephanie. Dorothy was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2017, 10:30 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
