Doris Elizabeth (Brown) Ainsworth

February 18, 1924 — October 27, 2022

Our mother, Doris Elizabeth Brown Ainsworth, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2022. She was born in Mill City, OR on Monday, February 18, 1924, to John Wesley Brown and Mary Adeline Brewer Brown. She was raised in Oregon and California where she met the love of her life, Glenn C. Ainsworth, and was married Wednesday, July 21, 1943. She worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" building B 17's as a part of the war effort while Glenn was in Europe during World War II. Following the war, they settled in Saguache, CO where they welcomed daughters Sue Ann and Donna Kathleen. They later moved to Albuquerque, NM.

She was a very humble and kind person whose lifelong focus was on her family.

She will be forever missed by her family; Dennis and Sue Lawrence, Doug, and Donna Dietrick; grandchildren, Rob and Shari Crandell, Jeff and Michelle Lawrence, Justin Dietrick, and Garrett and Annie Dietrick; great grandchildren, Samantha Dietrick, Grace Crandell, Savannah Lawrence, Parker Dietrick, Ethan Crandell, and Jaxson Lawrence; her little dog, Cassie as well as many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the "Rosie the Riveter Trust" with the notation- in memory of Doris Brown Ainsworth. Website: rosietheriveter.org
