Don Fluitt

September 15, 1962 — December 29, 2016

Don Fluitt passed away December 29, 2016 in his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 54. He was born September 15, 1962.
Don spent his life as a devoted father, firefighter and Christian. He fulfilled his passion by dedicating himself to God and through serving others. He spent all of his Sundays with his daughter, Siena, feeding the homeless for "Spaghetti Sunday." Spaghetti Sunday was one of the many ways Don was able to give back to his community. There is no way to capture in words the tremendous positive impact Don had on this community. He led his life believing that only through helping others could he help himself. He inspired and helped everyone who crossed his path.
Don was born in Los Angeles, California to Mr. James and Sharron Fluitt. He is survived by his children, Tiffany, Josh and Siena Fluitt; his mother, Sharron Fluitt; his brother, Dennis Fluitt; his nieces, Amber and Ashlyn Fluitt; his nephew, Dallen; his grandchildren, Aspen, Caizen and Kaeden; the Learned family in North Carolina, the Fluitt family in Louisiana and many other nieces and nephews.
Don is preceded in death by his father, James, and his sisters, Jeniece and Jenelle.
Don's life will be celebrated with a viewing Monday, January 9, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW in Albuquerque. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, following the services.
