Our mother, Deolinda Leyba, 89, passed peacefully with family at her side to be with Our Lord on February 16, 2017. She was born on December 17, 1927 in Pena Blanca, NM.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Leyba; son-in-law, Doyle Miller; her parents, Santiago and Lucianita Aragon; and sister, Joann Ortiz. She is survived by her three children, Elaine Romero and her husband, Steve, Elizabeth Miller, Raymond Leyba Jr., and his wife, Rachel; seven grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife, Marisa, Michael, Joshua and his wife, Lorraine, Jacqueline, Kailynn, Jerrod, and Epiphany; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathan, Enrique, Gabriel, Andres, and Alicia; her brother, Jimmy Aragon; sister, Pita Rivera and husband, James; brother-in-law, Robert Ortiz Sr.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Deolinda was a devoted member of our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca. Rosary will be recited for Deolinda on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca with visitation one hour prior from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Deolinda on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., also at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca with burial immediately following the mass. The pallbearers will be Jonathan Romero, Michael Romero, Joshua Leyba, Jerrod Miller, James Rivera Jr., and Greg Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ortiz Jr., Bobby Leyba, and Jimmy Aragon Jr.
