Deanna Marie Linthicum, 66, beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. with her family by her side.
She was born on September 11th, 1954 in Holly, CO, to Horace Dean and Helen Marie Moore. They soon moved to Portales, NM where she grew up. She was involved in Camp Fire Girls at a young age through her teenage years. She spent lots of time running the concession stand with her brother Michael while her father played fast-pitched softball games.
She met the love of her life, Troies Dean Linthicum at the local Pat’s Twin Cronnie drive-in restaurant. The two started dating and were married in June of 1972. They stayed in Portales until moving to Roswell with their three children in 1984. While in Roswell, she continued her banking career eventually retiring from Washington Federal Bank in Albuquerque after 39 years in banking.
Deanna was one of the most kindhearted women you could have ever had the honor to meet. A true matriarch, her love for her family never faltered. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as much as possible. Her hobbies included, working on her beautiful flower garden, year after year and treating the local hummingbirds to a tasty drink. There were many years of fishing and camping at a family favorite, Conchas Lake. She enjoyed bowling in leagues with her husband and friends. She was also deeply involved in her children's many sports activities and clubs. Whenever help was needed, she was always there to lend a hand.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rubin and Cora Elliot, Curtis and Syble Moore; her father, Horace Dean Moore; her nephew, Bryan Moore; and her grandson, Dylan Ryan Linthicum.
She is survived by her husband, Troies Linthicum of Albuquerque; her mother, Helen Moore of Albuquerque; her brother, Michael Moore and his wife, Debbie of Oklahoma City; her son, Brandon Linthicum of Roswell; her son, Ryan Linthicum and his wife, Brandi of Rio Rancho; her daughter, Jana Glenn and her husband, Robbie of Aiken, SC; her grandsons, Branson and Brodie Linthicum; her granddaughters, Alani Linthicum and Raegan Glenn; her nephews, Greg and Michael Russell, Brian Doyal, J.C. and David Linthicum, Joseph and Michael Moore; and her nieces, Melissa Callaway and Michelle Terry.
