David Tomas Herrera

David Herrera, 42, beloved son, father, brother, grandson and friend was called to his eternal resting place on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He entered this world on Wednesday, February 4, 1981 in Albuquerque, NM, born to Patricia Torres and Tomas Herrera. David is survived by his sons, Nathan Gallegos-Herrera and Estevan Herrera; his mother, Patricia Torres, and husband Angel; father, Tomas Herrera and wife, Sheila; brothers, Joshua Torres, Kevin and Joseph Herrera; sisters, Tiffani Clements, Krista Baca and Erika Herrera; grandmother, Angela Martinez; and many family members, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that he loved and cared for.

David graduated from Valley High School in 1999. He was an avid basketball and football player, starting very young with YAFL football and city basketball club leagues. He loved the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Bulls. David loved music as a young child and that passion led him to become a popular DJ here in Albuquerque.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-Westside. A Committal Service will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Torres, Adrian Martinez, Jacob Martinez and Leo Ural.
