David I. Gallegos

David Gallegos, 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on August 29, 2018. He entered this world on December 24, 1935 in Servilleta Plaza, NM, born to Jesus and Elvira Gallegos. He is survived by his wife, Concha Gallegos; daughter, Debra Gallegos-Harriman; daughter, Tammy Gallegos; son, Raymond Gallegos and wife Sherry; son, David Gallegos; son, Matthew Gallegos; son, Marcielo Gallegos; grandson, John Gallegos and wife, Rachel; grandson, Adrian Gonzales and wife, Hilary; granddaughter, Jacqueline Gonzales; grandson, James Ryba; granddaughter, Angelica Gallegos; granddaughter, Rebecca Gallegos; grandson, Marcus Gallegos; granddaughter, Victoria Harriman; grandson, John Paul Harriman; granddaughter, Veronica Gallegos; granddaughter, Paige Gallegos; granddaughter, Cheyenne Gallegos; great granddaughter, Monique Gonzales-Ortiz; great granddaughter, Sophia Gallegos; great grandson, Luciano Gutierrez; great grandson, David Barela; great granddaughter, Jolie Gallegos; great granddaughter, Veagh Gonzales; great grandson, Jason Gallegos; great granddaughter, Hailey Barela and great grandson, Tavo Gonzales.

David served in the Army from 1960 - 1964. He was a proud veteran, passionate, loved creating with wood, and won several state fair competitions for his wood carvings. David was a devout Catholic, a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ, the scapular and the Virgin De Guadalupe. He was a hard worker, enjoyed doing projects, and he never stopped taking care of his family, his properties, and himself. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Rosary will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at San Ysidro Parish, 5015 Corrales Road, Corrales, NM 87048, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m., Graveside Service will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
