Craig Nelson, age 71, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. He was born October 11, 1946 in Valparaiso, IN to George and Loris Nelson. He graduated from Kirtland Central High School in Kirtland, NM in 1966. Not long after graduation Craig joined the Army National Guard. He worked over 30 years as a boilermaker. In his spare time, Craig had a passion for cars and building hot rods. He also loved baseball.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, George and Loris Nelson. He is survived by his daughter, Shamie Ayers and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Dillon,Taylor Rae An, and Daegen; and great-granddaughter, Havyn. “I have an angel in Heaven watching over me and I call him DAD and GRAMPS.”
A celebration of Craig's life will be held at a later date.
