Charles had a great sense of humor and was known for his chuckle. He was always an athlete, and fitness was a priority. When Mary was alive, she and Chuck were very involved in the Albuquerque Tennis Club and had many close friends there. He continued with tennis until his 80's. Chuck loved the Green Bay Packers and he and Claudette were avid Lobo fans. They had many close friends and a lively social life at Coronado Villa. He served on the New Mexico State Game Commission, was President of the New Mexico Dental Association, and served as a board member of Albuquerque Crime Stoppers. Chuck had a love affair with hunting. Once Thanksgiving dinner was done, he was out the door to hunt ducks and geese in eastern New Mexico. He often talked about his up bringing and hunting on the Horicon Marsh in Wisconsin.
