C. Ruth Horn

C. Ruth Horn (Mrs. Calvin P. Horn), born on November 25, 1919 passed on August 9, 2016 due to aging. She is survived by her six beautiful children, Lottie Jane Horn of Albuquerque, Pat Horn of Albuquerque, Ronnie Horn and wife Jacque of Haines, Alaska, Ruthie and Dr. David Robbins of Albuquerque, Melinda of Aspen, and Brenda Horn and Rod Larson of Denver; her grandchildren, Heather Paar (Joe), Jennifer Olson (Brent), Michael Robbins (Katherine), Evan Horn (Anna), Amanda Robbins, Serena Allen (Scottie), Ethan Larson and Isaac Larson; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew and Calvin Olson, Pearle, Livia and Bressa Paar. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 57 years, Calvin P. Horn, the love of her life; and son, Michael Horn.
Ruth and Calvin enjoyed traveling and cruises. They were able to travel around the world several times. She traveled four times around the world alone after Calvin's death. She enjoyed many years with family at her home in Holy Ghost Canyon, fishing, watching nature and playing with the children. She also enjoyed the sand and the sea in Mazatlan with family. She was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1932, Albuquerque Country Club since 1946, Adah Chapter order of the Eastern Star, Chapter E PEO, lifetime member of Daughters of the Nile, UNM organizations and closest to her heart, Noon Day Ministries and Mandy's Special Farm.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mandy's Special Farm, PO Box 9346 Albuquerque, NM 87119, www.mandysfarm.org, or The Rock at Noon Day, PO Box 25451 Albuquerque, NM 87125 www.therockabq.com.
