Brett Anthony Velarde

Brett Anthony "Niner" Velarde, age 24, a loving son, husband and father, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 24, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of five years, Rebecca Bunker; his son, "little man" Damian Velarde; mother, Judy Ramos and husband Michael; father, Michael Velarde and wife Kim; siblings, Brandon, Brooklyn and Brittany Velarde; step-siblings, Jessica and Natalie Ramos and partner Eric Montoya; grandparents; James and Josephine Brasher, Helen Velarde, Irene and Roland Caley, Norm and Gerry Manha and Chuck Ring; father-in-law, Bruce Padilla; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene Velarde and Carol Ring; and mother-in-law, Kelly Roberts.
Brett was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Route 66 Boyz RC and sports fanatic, especially when it came to the San Francisco 49ers. He was genuine, generous and kind to everybody he came in contact with. His open door policy and willingness to help anybody will leave us with a void that only his memory can now fill. Brett was a hard worker devoting two and a half years to the team at TLC Plumbing & Utility. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Rosary will be recited Friday, July 1, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m., both at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE.
