Barbara Eagle

Barbara Eagle, 88, known to her family and friends as Honey, passed away peacefully November 26, 2016.
Left to carry on her legacy are her daughter, Stephanie; and son, Richard, both residing in the Albuquerque area. Her beloved grandchildren are Jon Withers, Leah Mortenson (Brett), Ian Eagle and Zac Eagle. Great-grandchildren are Jonah and Phoebe.
Barbara was born in Charleroi, PA to Stephan and Barbara Blasko on September 25, 1928. She was the youngest daughter of eight siblings. After graduating from California State Teachers College in California, PA, she taught in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Denver. She married Richard Eagle in 1955 and resided in Albuquerque for the rest of her life. Richard died suddenly in 1994.
Barbara's talents included playing bridge, gardening, sewing and cooking special dishes for her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, family gatherings and white wine with ice cubes.
A special thank you to her caregivers who allowed her to live in her home.
A lifelong Catholic, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 20, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
