Albert "Bebe" Alfred Gonzalez

Albert Gonzalez, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019. He entered this world on Tuesday, May 11, 1943, in Dawson, NM, and was born to Gregorio and Martha Gonzalez.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Jesus Gonzalez; mother, Martha Gonzalez; and brother, Felix Gonzalez.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Gonzalez; brother, George Gonzalez wife Donna Gonzalez; daughters, Gina Gonzalez Dugger and husband Thomas Wayne Dugger, Lori Gonzalez Salazar and husband Ryan Roy Salazar; son, Albert Alfred Gonzalez Jr, wife Lynette Romero; sister-in-law, Tillie Gonzalez;  grandchildren, Adam James Baca, Antoinette Renee Baca-Gonzalez, Brittany Martha Good, Dylan Thomas Dugger, Richie Thomas Chavez, Kimberly Corrine Salazar, Ryan Roy Salazar Jr. and Chloe LeighAnn Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Sean Patrick Gonzalez, Mya Karen-Renee Medinger, Miah Bella Molina and Kamilah Molina.

Albert served in the Army from September 7, 1960 to August 24, 1962. He and his wife Doris moved to Albuquerque, NM September 1965, and he began his career for the city of Albuquerque. He retired as Superintendent of Arroyo Maintenance for the City of Albuquerque. He was a member at the American Legion and member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He recently celebrated 55 years of marriage to his beloved wife Doris on June 13, 2019. He also celebrated the birth of his great-granddaughter, Mya on July 28, 2019, and was awaiting the arrival of the newest great-granddaughter, Kamilah due in December 2019. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a kind, compassionate man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to fish, camp, garden, shop, dance, and joke around with everybody. He had a profound impact on those around him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.



A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019, 8:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Lomas, he will then be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
