Condolence From: Rod and Tami Baker
Condolence: Joel has a personality that is so beautifully balanced between jovial and reverent. We seldom saw him without a gentle smile, yet he was always serious about doing his best at whatever he was teaching, or working on. A solid, delightful, and righteous man. We appreciated knowing him for 20 years, and will miss him till we join him. Our prayers and condolences for Jan, Maggie, and Dana.

Condolence From: Spears
Condolence: The Walton family have been close friends and incredible customers to the Spear family for over 20 years. We have watched their children grow into incredible individuals and wonderful adults. Joel‘s towering smile and generous nature affected us all. Our deepest condolences to Jan and the Family. The early Thursday morning visit to tell us personally of Joel’s passing has been gutting. Everyone in the shop agrees that we lost our best customer and truly a great friend to us all. Salute to a great man!

Condolence: It will be a long time before I can walk into the ASDC without thinking of Joel. Anytime I was there and looked over to see his big smile I knew it was going to be a good night. He spread goodwill and fun everywhere he went and he did it in a very quiet unassuming way. My prayers are with Jan and the family. Jan I have been where you now stand and I know words are not enough, but please know we are here for you.

Condolence: Joel Walton has been one of my best friends since we carpooled together to Kirtland AFB in the late 1970's. He was a fantastic person with compassion, dedication, integrity, loyalty, inspirational and was a true friend. I still have a voice mail on my phone from when he called to just say "hello" to me and said he thought it was about time to retire. I never made it to his Canadian ranch that he loved. We will miss Joel. I wish Jan and his family the very best as they move forward from this tragic loss.

Condolence: Here are no words to speak to loss in our square dance community with Joel's death. He was a quiet man but so full of life and joy that his presence lit up the room.

To see him at a dance warmed my heart.

I've only known Joel a short 4 years, but he made me feel like a life-long friend any time he greeted me.

My thoughts and prayers to go to Jan and his lovely family!
